In fact, there&#8217;s even viral videos, Instagram accounts and even TV shows dedicated to the phenomenon. Okay, so we&#8217;re not all sadists, we don&#8217;t want anyone to be seriously injured, but we&#8217;re huge fans of the things that go &#8220;bump&#8221; in the night. Especially when the &#8220;bump&#8221; is easily avoidable.<\/p>\n<p>Reddit users have been gracing us, once again, with a wonderful thread. This time, to share the absolute dumbest ways they&#8217;ve hurt themselves.<\/p>\n<h3>And, these are just great<\/h3>\n<h3>1. This guy, who was NOT ready for this jelly<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;My friend saw a jellyfish on the beach then kicked it. Like on purpose and knowing what it was. They had to go to the ER.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>2. This Epi-c fail<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I found my dad&#8217;s EpiPen one day while looking for mouth spray for sore throats. It obviously wasn&#8217;t what I was looking for but I wanted to figure out how it worked. I ended up shooting the needle clear through my thumb. I then hid the evidence of my stupidity and never told my mom until years later.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>3. Another &#8220;grape&#8221; move<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Threw a grape in the air to catch it in my mouth. It fell on the floor and I bent down to pick it up and smashed my face into the window sill.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>4. The &#8220;butt&#8221; of all jokes<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Was helping husband replace the bathroom fan, so I was standing on the side of the bathtub. I had this plastic hook glued to the shower wall to hang a loofa on. I went to get down and slid down the wall and hooked my butt cheek to the wall. It hurt so bad but was also hilarious. I&#8217;m in my 40s and this happened recently.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>6. This confirmation of something we&#8217;ve ALL thought could happen<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I broke a rib by coughing too hard.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>7. Cartoon Network would be so proud<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Shot myself in the eye with a nerf gun. I looked into the barrel to see if it was loaded. I was 8.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>8. Okay I need to see this movie<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;When I was a kid we had blue carpet in the living room. I had just watched some movie or show where the characters jumped into a painting and I started thinking maybe if I believed really hard, the blue carpet would turn into a vast ocean. So I climbed up on the recliner and swan dove into the floor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>9. This, that defies the laws of anatomy<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I was pulling a heavy blanket up, my hand slipped off of it, and my thumb (with a longish nail) went straight into my eye.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>10. This hard relate<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;On Wednesday I sat down wrong. That&#8217;s it.
