There are too many workouts happening right now on television and on computers,&#8221; Fonda says. &#8220;What I really would like you to do is to work out with me for the planet. There&#8217;s a climate crisis that&#8217;s a real emergency and so whether you&#8217;re on your couch or your yoga mat, will you join me for virtual Fire Drill Fridays?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The future needs you,&#8221; Fonda continued. &#8220;I need you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fonda <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/jane-fonda-fire-drill-fridays-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">started her weekly Fire Drill Friday protests back in October 2019<\/a> and has had a variety of climate experts and celebrity activists join her to protest and even get arrested on Capitol Hill. She ended her D.C. protests in January, but has had occasional Fire Drill Friday events in Los Angeles over the past few months.<\/p>\n<p>It appears Fonda will now attempt to keep the Fire Drill Friday momentum going online.
