The actor who plays the role of \u2018John Luther,\u2019 a detective for London Metropolitan Service, received a lot of critical acclaim during his time on the show. While the last season ended with several plot twists, no news about a possible season 6 have emerged since then.  <\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an interview over Zoom for his current show, <i>The Long Run, <\/i>Elba was asked about the future of <i>Luther. <\/i>&#8220;There isn&#8217;t a real formal plan for<i> Luther<\/i> at the moment,&#8221; he said &#8220;I&#8217;ve made it very clear that I&#8217;d like to see <i>Luther<\/i> come back as a film.
