The Little Mermaid has conjured up <a href=\"http:\/\/me.mashable.com\/culture\/5936\/people-have-feelings-about-the-casting-of-ariel-in-the-live-action-version-of-the-little-mermaid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quite a lot of feelings<\/a> with regards to the casting choices. In June, the role of Ariel went to Halle Bailey and now the name on everyone&#8217;s lips is Ursula.<\/p>\n<p>First to throw her name into the ring for the role was Lizzo. The larger than life musician with a pair of pipes isn\u2019t going down without a fight, as she posted a video of her singing Ursula\u2019s iconic \u201cPoor Unfortunate Souls.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019M URSULA. In true Disney fashion, we&#8217;ve not heard anything about who they are leaning towards but, McCarthy may have just dropped a massive hint. Whilst on the Jimmy Kimmel show, McCarthy spoke about the role, saying:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It seems like it&#8217;d be an awfully fun thing to do,&#8221; McCarthy joked. &#8220;I&#8217;d love if Disney gave me a little ringy-dingy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She then said &#8220;We&#8217;ll see&#8221; and turned to the audience and gave a huge exaggerated wink.
